Registered Nurse First Assist (RN First Assist) - Akron, Ohio

Job Type

Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Primary assist in open heart procedures including:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Aortic, Mitral, and Tricuspid valve repair and replacement
- Ascending aorta replacement
- Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
Harvest vein for CABG procedures

Shift

07:00 AM to 03:30 PM

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
CVOR First Assist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
CVOR First Assist experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
First Assist experience
Operating Room (OR) experience
