Pathology Assistant Job Opportunity
Location: Athens, Georgia
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (3 months)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Contract Dates: Approximately June 22 to July 10 (no holidays or weekends)
Required Qualifications
- Pathology Assistant with at least 1 year of experience within the last year.
- ASCP certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for all direct patient care personnel.
- Must provide license/certification verification dated within 30 days of start.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
Candidates must complete and submit the following prior to or at onboarding:
- Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
- Fit Test and Respirator Evaluation with physician signature.
- Proof of immunizations or immunity:
- COVID-19 vaccine (including booster or approved exemption).
- Influenza vaccine or approved exemption.
- MMR (2 vaccinations or IgG titer).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted).
- Varicella vaccination or IgG titer.
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per regional requirements).
- Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year).
- Background and Credential Verifications:
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check (last 7 years), including SSN verification.
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED).
- EPLS, OIG, NSO, and OFAC sanction screenings dated within 30 days of start.
- Signed professional forms including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality and System Security Agreement
- Integrity and Audit Services Form
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
- Trinity System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- CORE Exam (Joint Commission Testing) within the past year.
- Skills Checklist provided by the agency for clinical contractors.
Additional Information
- This is a clinical role requiring direct patient care compliance.
- No weekend or holiday shifts.
- All documentation must be uploaded to the designated system prior to start.
