Job Opportunity: RN LTAC ICU - Travel Position

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years current LTACH experience
• Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Kentucky or compact nursing license required
• Must reside within 100 miles of the facility
• Experience with Meditech EMR system
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• Schedule: 36/48 hours over a two-week pay period

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA card front and back if not electronic
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required for all RNs except Psych and True Med/Surg units
• NIH Certification – Required for RN specialties except OR and Psych
• Nursys Verification – Within 30 days of start
• Kentucky or Compact Nursing License – Must be current and valid for KY ARH facilities
• ARH Submission Packet – Includes cover page, resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, and license/certification verification in one PDF
• ARH 20/20 Background Check – Must be within 30 days prior to start, includes criminal, SSN trace, sex offender, SAM, OIG checks
• ARH Job Description – Signed and dated specialty job description
• ARH Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry – Verification within 30 days prior to start
• ARH 20/20 Drug Screen – Must be completed within 30 days of start (excludes marijuana/THC)
• ARH Skills Checklist – Unit specific, within one year prior to start
• ARH Competency Exam – Unit specific, within one year prior to start
• ARH EKG Exam, Telemetry Exam – Unit specific, within one year prior to start
• ARH Core Competencies – Includes HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; annual update required
• ARH Assignment Confirmation – Must be uploaded within 24 hours of acceptance
• ARH 2 Professional References – Two references required; one charge or higher, one supervisor reference within the last year

Required Immunizations & Health Documentation

• COVID-19 Vaccine – Proof of completed series; religious and medical exemptions accepted with documentation and approval
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer prior to start
• Hepatitis B – Positive titer or proof of 3 vaccine series or declination accepted
• Varicella – Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer prior to start
• Tdap – Valid within 10 years from administered date; declinations accepted
• Influenza Vaccine – Required October through March; exemptions require approval and must be applied for within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Health Statement – Annual physical or physician note within 1 year prior to start stating clear to work without restrictions
• TB Quantiferon Test – Within one year prior to start
• Positive PPD – If applicable, requires chest X-ray within last 5 years and TB questionnaire

• Assignment confirmation must be loaded within 24 hours of accepting the offer
• Annual updates required for many credentials and verifications
• Must follow ARH Employee Health file registration and compliance procedures prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced LTAC ICU RNs licensed in Kentucky or compact states, who meet the certification and health requirements and are ready for a 12-week travel assignment with a structured orientation and specific scheduling.
