Job Opportunity: Mammography Technician (Travel)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Day Shift, Monday - Friday
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Work with Hologic Mammography Unit
• No on-call duties
• Schedule typically 36/48 hours per two-week pay period (may fluctuate)
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• Must reside within 100 miles of the facility

Required Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Mammography Technician role
• Minimum 2+ years experience required (per submission packet requirement)

Required Licenses & Certifications

• West Virginia Medical Imaging License
• ARRT (R) (M) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Immunizations & Health Requirements

• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose of series with follow-up)
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination
• Annual Influenza vaccine (October - March) or approved exemption
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose of series with follow-up)
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (declinations accepted)
• TB Quantiferon blood test within one year prior to start
• Annual physical or physician statement confirming clearance to work without restrictions

Background & Screening Requirements

• 7-year county and nationwide criminal background check including SSN trace, sex offender registry, SAM, OIG, EPLS, OFAC, and national sex offender check (updated annually)
• Drug screen (excluding marijuana/THC) within 30 days of start, updated annually
• APS/CPS check for West Virginia (2-4 week turnaround)
• Education and employment verifications (7 years relevant experience required to verify)
• Social Security trace (if run separately)

Additional Compliance & Documentation

• Signed and dated specialty job description (annual update required)
• Skills checklist and competency exam specific to scope of practice (annual update required)
• Core competencies including HIPAA, patient rights, safety, infection control, elder abuse, cultural diversity, etc. (annual update required)
• Submission packet including cover page, resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, and license/certification verification in one PDF
• Two professional references required (one charge or higher, one supervisor reference within last year)
• Assignment confirmation form to be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Employee health attestation form completion required prior to start

Summary

This is a travel Mammography Technician position requiring 2-5 years of experience, appropriate WV licensure and ARRT certification, and multiple immunizations and health screenings.
