• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
• Weekends: 2 weekend shifts every 2-week period

• On-call: Yes, low-census on-call is utilized when census dips
• Assignment length: 13 weeks

Role details

• Care for high-acuity patients or float to high-acuity units
• Average assignment is 4–5 patients, with a maximum of 6
• Must be able to quickly stabilize acutely sick patients according to ACLS guidelines and prepare for transfer to a higher level of care
• Must be able to titrate Cardizem drip
• Expected to work with CNA’s, RN, and a critical care-trained house supervisor, with support from MD, RN, supervisor, and respiratory therapy

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications
• Experience with heated high-flow respiratory support
• Experience with post-op care of general surgery patients
• Experience working with Surgical patients
• Experience working with Orthopedics patients
• Experience working with Urinary patients
• Urology experience
• Driver's License
