Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient (Days)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide occupational therapy treatments to employees/patients based on evaluation of their needs and status.
• Maintain appropriate records.
• Assist with in-services and Community Health Program.
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required.
• No 40-hour guaranteed time available.
• Travel pairs will not be considered.
• Requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at submission; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
• Local travelers (within 50 miles) are not eligible.
• Call, call-back, and charge duties are not applicable.
• Must have own vehicle due to lack of public transportation in the community.

Facility Information

• 35-bed critical access community hospital.
• Includes 25 inpatient medical-surgical beds and a 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.
• Features a therapeutic pool and physical therapy department.
• Located in a small community with access to outdoor recreation.
• Approximately 3-hour drive to Boston, Montreal, and New York.

Requirements

• Specialty: Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years current inpatient/acute occupational therapy experience (highest required).
• Experience in a Critical Access hospital (required).
• Cerner EMR experience (required).
• Ability to work independently.
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
• Vermont Occupational Therapy license (must be current and uploaded).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required).
• Skills checklist for Occupational Therapy current to within 1 year (required).
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment (required).

Additional Notes

• Scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; no scheduling requests will be approved after offer.
• This is a firm assignment with a March start date.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment.
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible.
