Sioux City, Iowa

Assignment Details

Temp assignment
Days, 12-hour shifts
13-week contract
First-time traveler okay
Must float to the ED and all inpatient areas
May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
Unit details: 6SW Unit; patient ratio 1:4, can go to 1:5
Types of patients/surgeries: CHF, Ablation, Angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, DKA, Stroke, Pacemaker, sepsis
Level 3 Trauma Center

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or US Military
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or US Military
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Mandatory reporter
Skills Checklist specific to the discipline listed on the job (PCU)
1 Supervisory Reference Form completed within the last two years

Preferred Qualifications

BLS: AHA preferred
ACLS: AHA preferred

Additional Notes

NBO: 16 hrs
EPIC EMR
Scrub color: Navy Blue
Winter holidays: traveler will be required to work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day)
Limit of 1 day off request between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27 for all travelers
Local candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver’s license
