Overview

• Temp Registered Nurse (RN) role in Des Moines, Iowa.
• Nights shift.
• 13-week contract.
• Unit has 30 beds.
• Patient ratio is 1:4-5.
• Patient types include hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries.
• Drips used on the unit include PCA and Heparin.
• Traveler will float across all campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 2 years of Med Surg experience in an Acute Care setting within the last year.
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips.
• Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications.
• Experience with Epic.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-op surgical experience.
• Patient care experience with hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries.
• Professional reference/reference check from within the last 24 months.

Additional Details

• Will take a first-time traveler.
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
