Overview

• Travel/Contract RN assignment in Oakland, California
• Home location: Highland Hospital
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 17 weeks
• Winter coverage assignment with firm dates; candidates must be able to commit to the stated dates
• Possibility of extension

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Med Surg / Telemetry (3 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Telemetry- remote monitoring
• Use of Rapid Response Teams
• Blood Product Administration
• Phlebotomy
• Starting IVs
• Non-invasive airway management

Scheduling and Float Scope

• Candidate must work 2–3 holidays based on unit needs
• Maximum RTO is 7 days
• Holiday RTO is unlikely to be approved
• May float with notice 4–6 hours before shift to Alameda Hospital and San Leandro if critical need arises
• Will not be asked to float mid-shift

Notes

• Candidates requesting alternative dates will not be considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of RTO will not be prioritized
• 7 days of RTO may be automatically approved outside blackout dates
