Job Overview
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Patient ratio: 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nebraska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ECMO ICU experience within the last year
- 2 years of ECMO ICU experience
- Cardio Help experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- Pediatrics CVICU experience
- Must be able to manage VA ECMO and VV ECMO patients
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Float to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
Required Certifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Schedule Requirements
- Every 3rd weekend required
Role Details
- Works as a pump specialist for patients on ECMO for cardiac or non-cardiac reasons
- If there are no ECMO patients, works in the ICU as a bedside nurse caring for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients based on unit need
