Overview

Travel/contract registered nurse position in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted
Floating within scope is required
Every other weekend required
On-call not required
Block scheduling not guaranteed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Focus

Surgical ICU care for trauma, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, and other complex surgical patients
Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, and blood product administration
Common patient needs include ventilator support, high oxygen demand, DKA, severe sepsis, unstable GI bleed, open heart recovery, TAVR recovery, post-code care, multi-system organ failure, and CRRT
