Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Mechanical ventilation experience
- IV start skills
- Experience with Epic
Unit Details
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Common diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis
- Common treatments and procedures include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, complex medication regimens, clinical trials, and plasmapheresis

- Rotating day/night scheduling may be possible depending on department needs
- Computerized charting is used
