Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Pomona, California
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
36 hours per week
13-week assignment
Ratios: 1:2
First-timers accepted
Locals accepted
Three missed shifts may result in cancellation of the assignment
Client can cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Vaginal exam ability and experience
Baby care ability and experience
Experience with birth volumes ranging from less than 100 to greater than 300 births

Preferred Qualifications

None stated

Schedule Requirements

Weekend requirements for LDRP are 2 weekends every 6 weeks
Night shift weekends can include Fridays
Holiday requests are limited to 1, but staff will most likely work holidays
On-call not required
Block schedule not accommodated

Pros

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.

Cons

DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
