Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Location: Olympia, Washington
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Start date: ASAP
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Short-term acute care hospital
- Unit focus: Long length of stay / acute med surg with a mix of dementia/autistic and acute patients
- Floating: Required between like units within skill set
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Local candidates: Not accepted if permanent residence is within 50 miles of the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Expectations
- Care for surgical procedures requiring overnight stays
- Manage procedural observation patients
- Manage medical observation patients
- Provide care for some medical inpatient and long length of stay patients
Additional Notes
- No on-call requirement at this time
- Block scheduling is not available at this time
- Requested time off should preferably be under 7 days
- Charting system used: EPIC
