Oncology Registered Nurse
Overview
- Location: Seattle, Washington
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3x12
- Schedule: Every other weekend
- Start date: ASAP
Role Highlights
- Medical-surgical oncology assignment
- May float to like units to meet staffing needs
- First-time travelers are accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Oncology (2 years of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- CHEMO - Chemotherapy
- ONS/ONCC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience
Preferred Experience
- Chest tube set-up/care
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Procedure sedation
- Cooling/warming blanket use
- Drains, feeding tubes, and fistula care
- Port-a-cath/vascular device access and care
- Syringe pumps
- Wound vac
- Heparin, insulin, and Lasix administration
Clinical Focus
- Oncology patients including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
- Experience with clinical trials, CAR-T, stem cell transplant, BMT, general hematology/oncology
Additional Notes
- Previous permanent employees of affiliated facilities must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify
