ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Wichita Falls, Texas

Position: ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, options for 3 or 4 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (scheduled 84 hours biweekly with 72-hour guarantee)
Start Date: Must start by May 18

Job Responsibilities

Primary assignment in ICU
May be required to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and/or Emergency Room (ER) hold as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
I9 or Attestation form
Background check within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
State license verification within 30 days of start
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment (annual update)
Employment application or resume
Skills checklist (annual update)
Two professional references within 3 years

Health and Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or equivalent)
Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - May 31) or approved medical/religious exemption
COVID-19 vaccination documentation required
Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (instant acceptable), must have plan to complete within 72 hours of contract signing

Facility-Specific Requirements

Completion of facility-specific forms and acknowledgments prior to start (e.g., parking policy, confidentiality, code of conduct, orientation)
Flu medical or religious exemption forms if applicable
TB questionnaire required regardless of TB status

Additional Notes

Candidate will be the first to float to PCU and/or ER hold as needed
Must be able to meet all credentialing and compliance requirements within specified timeframes
