Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job in Greenville, South Carolina

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Location: Greenville, South Carolina
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• Valid ARRT (T) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC; RQI acceptable)
• Valid SCRQSA license
• Experience with Epic

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, EFM, STABLE, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, MAB (check unit-specific requirements)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for Electrophysiology Techs and Monitor Techs; not required for prebook or non-clinical positions
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required annually
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA and OSHA/TJC training) required annually
• Tech Certification verification (national certification) must be current and verified within 30 days of start

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Driver’s License required immediately upon signing for computer access and must be carried on duty
• E-Verify or Attestation required
• Comprehensive 7-year background check within 12 months of start, including:

  • Social Security trace and all aliases
  • State and county searches for all places lived/worked in last 7 years
  • FACIS III search (Healthcare Sanctions)
  • Sex Offender and International searches if applicable
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
• Respirator Fit Test completed onsite during orientation (N95 masks commonly used)
• Current Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (within 10 years) if working in high-risk areas
• Negative TB test (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot) within 90 days of start; positive responders require chest x-ray within 6 months
• Annual TB Questionnaire required
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination)

Orientation and Training

• Completion of online Cornerstone modules within 72 hours of assignment (approximately 12 hours)
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation onsite
• Pass/Fail testing (medication and arrhythmia exams) must be completed prior to orientation with two attempts allowed; failure results in cancellation
• Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background, no alterations)

Documentation and Evaluations

• Resume/application with 7-year work history required
• Internal and performance evaluations required if employed over 1 year with the agency
