Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Conway, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)

Required Licensure

• Valid South Carolina RN license
• NURSYS verification required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Background check: 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated with contract renewals
• Education verification or transcript/diploma as applicable
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, stating candidate is free to work without restrictions
• Fit test within 3 months prior to start (specific mask types required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
• Drug screening: 9 or 15 panel drug screen within 1 year or 30 days of start (depending on panel)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required

Additional Requirements

• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable, updated annually
• Completion of onboarding forms and online orientation modules prior to start
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Labor and Delivery experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• PALS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NRP certification
• TNCC certification
• National Tech Cert Verification
• NURSYS verification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience

Notes

• Candidates must complete all required documentation and onboarding steps by specified deadlines to avoid delays or cancellation of start date.
• Facility may allow onsite completion of orientation modules if notified in advance of technical issues.
