Hospice Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Aldie, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM) with every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Average Patients per Day: 5-7 (to be confirmed during interview)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Territory: Up to 60-mile radius from the office; flexibility with territory expected
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• Device Provided: iPad (cell phone use not allowed)
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

Specialty & Experience

• Specialty: Case Manager with Hospice experience
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year, recent
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Nurse license in hand, valid for Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) as applicable
• NURSYS verification required for RN license

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Hospice Palliative Care RN experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Compliance & Background Checks

• 7-year background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Virginia State Police background check and sex offender search required for all Virginia placements
• E-Verify and EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required within 30 days of start
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 6 months of start, confirming freedom from communicable diseases
• Fit test for N95 mask within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray as per guidelines
• Required immunizations or positive titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination required

Facility-Specific Requirements (Must be completed prior to start)

• Photo for badge (passport-style, front-facing, no filters)
• Contractor info, consent, conflict of interest, immunization statement, confidentiality and security agreement, TB symptom survey, sexual abuse policy, code of conduct, sworn statement for Virginia placements
• Alzheimer’s training (1 hour) for PACE facilities

• No on-call required
• Locals accepted at travel rate
