Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Primarily working on accelerators.
• Experience with True Beam - Linear Accelerator preferred.
• Floating primarily at the main campus, with possible float to other nearby locations.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekends or holidays.
• Dress code: Scrubs or business casual with lab coat.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• ARRT (T) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Therapeutic certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and other standard screenings.
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions.
• Required immunizations or valid declinations for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or declination (required during flu season)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
• Drug testing within 30 days of start date.
• Pass required competency exams as applicable.
• References: 2 within the last 3 years.
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Floating assignments may require flexibility to work at multiple nearby locations.
• No weekend or holiday shifts required.

This position is ideal for a Radiation Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, licensed in Massachusetts, who is comfortable working with linear accelerators and prefers a weekday schedule without weekends or holidays.
