Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy services in an acute care hospital setting.
• Knowledge of Physical Therapy practices is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.

Experience

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume entry-level to experienced physical therapists are considered. (No prior travel experience required.)

Certifications & Licenses

• New York State Physical Therapist License (must be current/active, no pending adverse actions).
• BCLS certification (required).
• ACLS certification recommended (not mandatory).

• Criminal background check covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years, including all aliases.
• Various federal and state exclusion and sanction list checks required within 60 days prior to assignment start.
• Education verification including official transcripts and diplomas.
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start (excluding marijuana).
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including vital signs and clearance to work without restrictions.
• Fit mask test (N95) within 1 year prior to start.
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable.
  • Vaccination or immunity proof for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella.
  • Hepatitis B and C screening or declination documentation.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season.
• Vision screening within 12 months of start.
• Completion of required training modules and orientation checklists prior to or at start of assignment.

Additional Requirements

• 20-year employment and work history verification with no gaps.
• Professional references: 2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care roles.
• Signed confidentiality agreement, harassment factsheet, and code of conduct documents.
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety training.
