Job Description

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, including experience within the last year

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current State license for MRI Tech in Florida
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT MR certification preferred (not mandatory)

Special Requirements

• Two professional references from authority figures (Managers, Supervisors, Charge Nurses, or Directors) within the last 12 months must be submitted
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31 - March 31); medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
• Must comply with Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting required if no prior clearance)
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start required
• Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (strict shaving policy; PAPR not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
• Required immunizations or titers within 5 years: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana; witnessed urine collection required for instant tests)
• Background checks including social security trace, education verification, and other standard screenings within 90 days of start

Additional Notes

• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Must submit finalized Return to Office (RTO) documentation with application
• Several facility-specific documents and attestations required prior to start (e.g., photo for badge, radiation badge monitoring form)
• Online color blind testing required for MLTs (not applicable for MRI Tech but noted in background)

Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for an experienced MRI Tech with at least 2 years in Radiology/Cardiology. Candidates must have EPIC experience, current Florida licensure, BLS certification, and meet strict health and background screening requirements. Flu vaccination or approved exemption is mandatory during flu season. Prior travel experience is not explicitly required, but first-time travelers are not accepted.
