Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Nights
• Weekends and holidays included
• No call required

Unit & Patient Population

• 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes Cardiac, Diabetes, CHF, COPD, Renal, General Surgery, Orthopedics
• Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
• May float to like acuities or less if needed
• May take IMCU patients based on census

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with recent experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• Proficiency with Insulin drips
• Proficiency with Heparin drips
• Proficiency with Lasik drips

• No local candidates within 50-mile radius accepted
• Candidates will be reviewed/interviewed by manager
• Must include Return to Office (RTO) in submittal to be honored at time of offer

Summary

This is a night shift travel RN position on a Med-Surg Telemetry unit with a diverse patient population. The role requires proficiency in managing specific drips, standard life support certifications, and crisis prevention training. The contract is approximately 13 weeks long with a 4x12 schedule including weekends and holidays. Candidates must meet comprehensive health, background, and licensing requirements.
