Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards and nursing process.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff activities and coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion.
• Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education.
• Delegate and coordinate healthcare team duties.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Requirements

• Two clinical references verified within one year of start.
• Complete employment application/resume with 7-year work history including locations and gaps.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required.
• Current photo ID and passport-style photo for badge.
• Signed facility-specific agreements including confidentiality, waiver of benefits, intellectual property rights, and contractor compliance education forms prior to start.
• COVID-19 vaccination required unless approved medical or religious exemption is provided with facility-specific forms.
