Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel/Contract)
Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Job Summary
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards and nursing process.
- Supervise and direct nursing staff activities and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education.
- Delegate and coordinate healthcare team duties.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Additional Requirements
- Two clinical references verified within one year of start.
- Complete employment application/resume with 7-year work history including locations and gaps.
- Unit-specific skills checklist required.
- Current photo ID and passport-style photo for badge.
- Signed facility-specific agreements including confidentiality, waiver of benefits, intellectual property rights, and contractor compliance education forms prior to start.
- COVID-19 vaccination required unless approved medical or religious exemption is provided with facility-specific forms.
