Pediatric Physical Therapist (Outpatient) - Maryland, Rockville

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: Preferred Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM; flexible to 5 days/week if needed
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
• Daily Caseload: 6-7 pediatric patients
• Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Patient Population: Pediatrics
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Productivity Expectation: Bill 25 hours/week (scheduled 29 hours/week)
• Therapy Team Model: Multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Equipment Available: Parallel bars, LiteGait, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Physical Therapist license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric physical therapy experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including SSN trace, sex offender registry, education verification, and others
• Primary source verification of professional license (cannot expire within 30 days of start)
• Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information
• Fit test for N95 or equivalent respirators within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (TD and DTap not accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 60 days of start (with additional requirements if previously positive)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values and reference ranges
  • Hepatitis B series and quantitative surface antibody titer with lab values; declination form accepted if declining vaccine
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values (LabCorp exceptions apply)
• 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption form required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination required for tracking purposes
• Facility-specific training modules and acknowledgements must be completed prior to start
• Professional references: 2 references dated within past 2 years, preferably supervisors or managers
• Employment application and skills checklist required

Additional Notes

• Orientation includes pass/fail medication calculation exam (not applicable for this role but noted for nursing)
• Photo for badge must meet specific guidelines and be submitted immediately after signing
