Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty

• Licensure: Louisiana license must be in hand

• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • Louisiana State License

• Preferred Experience: Epic system experience preferred

• Accepts: CRTs (Certified Respiratory Therapists)

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: None
• Holiday Requirement: Yes
• Maximum Return to Office (RTO): Strict 5-day max

Equipment & Skills

• Experience with special equipment:

  • Nitric Oxide therapy
  • ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
  • Bedside bronchoscopies

• Ventilators used:

  • Puritan Bennett 840 and 980

• Bipap: Phillips V60

• Transport Ventilators: Pneutron, Newport, Parapac

Prior Travel Experience

Additional Notes

• Background checks and various health and competency documents are required and must be current per facility standards.

This position is suitable for respiratory therapists with at least 1 year of experience, holding the required certifications and Louisiana licensure, who are comfortable working every other weekend and holidays, and have experience with advanced respiratory equipment.
