Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Facility Overview
- Level 1 Trauma and Level 1 Stroke certified hospital
- 14th busiest Emergency Department in the nation
- Very busy, high volume environment
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: CT Tech with Siemens equipment (Level 5 – Very Experienced)
- 3-5 years of Level 1 Trauma hospital experience (higher end of range applies)
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Texas State Medical Board License (TMB) in hand
- Epic EMR experience (very experienced)
- Influenza vaccination documentation required
Certifications & Compliance
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – required for all candidates
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA preferred, ARC accepted (facility/unit specific)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) – refer to facility-specific requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (PPD not accepted)
- TDAP vaccination required (exemptions require approval)
- Drug screening: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required year-round
- COVID vaccines highly encouraged but not mandatory
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years in Level 1 Trauma hospital setting (use higher value if discrepancy)
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Onboarding & Documentation
- Government issued photo ID required
- Background check including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification of initial and most recent degree required
- Two references verified within one year of start
- Skills checklist required, must be updated annually and valid at start date
- Mandatory Occupational Health Appointment and Orientation prior to start (orientation held weekly on Tuesdays)
- Various facility-specific documents and electronic forms must be completed prior to documentation due date
Additional Notes
- Travelers must stay local to the area if Occupational Health Appointment is scheduled on start date to receive orientation information promptly
- Orientation includes pass/fail testing such as medication calculation and EKG exams for applicable units
- Facility requires electronic completion of all onboarding forms; no handwritten forms accepted
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists comfortable working in a high-acuity, trauma-certified hospital environment with Siemens equipment and Epic EMR.
