Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Patient Ratio: IMCU 4:1 (may be 5:1 depending on acuity)
- Return to Office (RTO): 7 days or less, with only 1 holiday allowed
Requirements
- Valid New York RN License
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- Drip experience including:
- Neo up to 100
- Precedex
- Insulin at IMCU level of care
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Epic electronic health record experience required
- Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (New York)
Competencies & Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for ICU, PCU, ER, CT ICU, and 7th Floor M/S Unit; expires every 3 years)
- Color Blind Testing (required prior to start)
- Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit Mask test within 1 year and updated annually (specific mask types required)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (PPD, Quantiferon Gold accepted; Tspot not accepted)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
- Varicella (positive titer, vaccine, or history of chickenpox)
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season: 9/1 - 3/31)
- Pneumonia Vaccination or Declination
Documentation & Compliance
- Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start)
- Background Checks including:
- 7-year search of locations lived/worked/schooled
- EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
- HHS/OIG (annual)
- Education Verification
- Florida Education Audit Confirmation (for RN/LPN only)
- Facility-specific documents:
- Photo for badge (headshot, plain background, no head coverings)
- Job Description acknowledgment
- Welcome Packet acknowledgment
- Omnicell Form (for nursing staff)
- Pneumococcal Declination (if applicable)

- 2 professional references for travel, allied, per diem acute care

Notes
- Locals accepted with a local bill rate
- All online learning modules must be completed prior to first shift
- Compliance with OSHA standards regarding facial hair when wearing respirators is required
- If fit test fails, a PAPR unit may be allowed if available
