Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Position primarily outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) role
• May occasionally cover acute care and inpatient rehab
• Weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• On-call rotation every 7 weeks for coverage
• Holiday rotation: one holiday per year
• Attire: Caribbean blue or khakis with lab coat

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • State license required
  • Epic experience required
• Other:

  • Must be able to work in acute care setting when needed

Compliance & Documentation

• Criminal background check within 12 months required
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Primary source verification of state license prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health required
• Negative drug screen within 12 months required
• TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months required
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• COVID vaccination preferred
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit test completed onsite during orientation)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and agreements required prior to start
• Photo for badge required

Work Environment & Additional Info

• Acute care experience is mandatory; rehabilitation hospital experience is a plus
• Position involves outpatient care with occasional inpatient and acute care coverage
• On-call and holiday rotations required
• Fit testing and respirator clearance are part of onboarding
• Various facility-specific training and compliance modules must be completed annually
