Job Opportunity: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Location: Spokane, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech with experience in Pediatrics for a rehabilitation facility. The position requires working every other weekend with no on-call duties. The expected patient ratio is 2:1. Floating between units is not required.


Required Experience

  • Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Polysomnography)
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year (including pediatric experience)
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Weekends: Required every other weekend
  • Floating: No floating between units
  • Charting system: Epic
  • Scrub color: Any color allowed on all units

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • Valid Polysomnographer license in Washington
  • Minimum 1 year of Polysomnographer experience, including experience within the last year
  • Sleep Tech experience
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Experience in a Rehabilitation setting

Licensure

  • Must hold a valid license appropriate for Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech in Washington State

Compliance & Background Requirements

  • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
  • Education verification required
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria) within 10 years or declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates
  • WA State Patrol background search and other state-specific checks as required

Additional Requirements

  • References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
  • Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
  • Completion of facility-specific and regional mandatory training modules annually via WorkRamp LMS platform
  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required

Notes

  • Fit mask testing required annually for travel candidates
  • No on-call or block schedules required
  • Parking available at no cost
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
