Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Unit: Adult Outpatient
• Documentation System: Varian/Aria
• Scrubs: Any solid color
• 1 year of specialty experience required
• 1st Timers: Accepted (no prior travel experience required)
• Weekends/Float/Call: Not applicable

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT (Therapist)
• BLS (AHA only, RQI accepted)
• State Radiation Therapist License (copy and online verification required)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Valid state license for Radiation Therapist in Iowa
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy

Facility & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including SSN trace, nationwide and statewide checks, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start date
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (medical exemption accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months (or documentation of past positive with follow-up)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if negative)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if negative)
  • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
  • Latex allergy screening questionnaire
  • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (facility requires 5-panel but 9-panel meets agency standard)
• COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended (dose 1 and fully vaccinated)

• Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification prior to start
• Signed Code of Conduct
• Confidentiality and Access to Information Agreement
• Parking Policy acknowledgment
• COVID-19 Employee Health Attestation
