• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, occasional scheduled holidays
• 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Experienced in all areas of Surgical Services sterile processing department, including:

  • Decontamination of instruments (e.g., drills, Da Vinci, scopes)
  • Assembly of instruments across all service lines (including trauma, loaners, peel packaging)
  • Sterilization processes (Sterrad and steam)
  • High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope experience
  • Sterile storage management
  • Operating Room liaison duties
  • Experience with Censitrac tracking system
• May require floating between multiple locations within the system
• Facility is a Level One trauma center with a high volume and complexity

Required Qualifications

• Sterile Processing Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) certification required

Preferred Experience

• Core tech, customer service, or liaison experience preferred
• Experience working in a busy, high-acuity trauma facility or similar environment preferred

• Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leader (charge RN acceptable as second reference)
• Competency exams and unit-specific competency testing may be required

Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, EFM certifications may be required depending on unit (check unit-specific requirements)
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Floating between locations may be necessary
