Shift: Night (3x12 hours, 7 PM - 7 AM) or Day (3x12 hours, 7 AM - 7 PM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide couplet care for mother and newborn as a dyad with an aimed nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1.
• Perform heel sticks on newborns for supplemental screening tests, blood sugars, and bilirubin collection.
• Competent in conducting head-to-toe assessments on both mother and newborn.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Maternal-Newborn nursing experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience

• Registered Nurse specialty experience required (minimum 1 year recommended based on typical postpartum nursing standards).
• No explicit prior travel experience required.

Additional Information

• Government-issued photo ID required.
• Emergency contact form required prior to start.
• Facility will provide first week’s schedule and badge photo requirements.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Workplace Violence Prevention training completed onsite during orientation for applicable units.
• References: 2 professional references required for travel/per diem acute care roles (within 3 years).
