PICU

Overview

Travel/contract RN role in San Diego, California.
Start date: November 9 only.
13-week contract.
4x10-hour day shifts with variable start times, including 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM or earlier depending on department need.
Possible standby/on-call based on department needs.
Weekend availability is required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Locals are not accepted.
Block scheduling is not available.
Floating within scope is not required.
Guaranteed hours apply after the call-off policy has been met.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California.
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience).
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year.
1 year or more of total travel experience.
BLS issued by American Heart Association.
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience in a hospital setting.
Experience with ventilator management.
Extubation.

Unit Details

PACU unit with 38 beds.
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1-2 in NP area; 1:3-4 in discharge area.

Schedule and Call

1 call shift per weeknight or 1 call shift every other weekend as needed.
1 holiday call as needed.

Additional Notes

Scrub color: any color.
Charting system: Epic.
Free traveler parking.
