Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocols, documenting accordingly.
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
• Complete patient population/age-specific procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
• This position is in a non-acute care clinic setting, split between two clinics (40% at one location, 60% at another).

Contract Length

• Approximately 9 weeks (61 days ≈ 9 weeks)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• At least 13 weeks of total travel nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
