Job Opportunity: RN - Vascular Access (PICC)

Location: Golden, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

Provide specialized vascular access nursing care focused on PICC and Midline insertions. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care related to vascular access devices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage patient care delivery independently in various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of physical, social, and psychological status relevant to vascular access.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and care teams to develop individualized plans of care.
• Prepare patients for ongoing support needs including education, referrals, and follow-up.
• Direct and coordinate care delivery through delegation and collaboration.
• Manage time, supplies, and resources effectively to prioritize patient care.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise care plans as needed.
• Maintain professional nursing standards, legal and ethical compliance, and accurate documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of PICC experience, including experience within the last year
• Vascular Access experience, including Central Line Management
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Vascular Access Board Certification (VA-BC)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
