Overview

• Performs diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician direction to help identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis.
• Based in Billings, Montana.
• Contract length: 11 weeks.
• Shift: Day, 10 hours.
• Hours per week: 40.

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technologist experience within the last year.
• 1 year of Echo Technologist experience.
• RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or RCS - Reg Cardiac Sonographer.
• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree.

Relevant Skills and Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels.
• Prepares the exam room, obtains informed consent, and requests an accurate clinical history as needed.
• Reviews patient history, selects protocols, explains the exam, and positions the patient.
• Assesses patient status and performs necessary diagnostic techniques/tests and interventions.
• Reviews completed tests for quality, completeness, and ordered test type.
• Ensures quality images and coordinates image/exam preparation and documentation for physician partners.
• Documents and communicates patient information accurately.
• Communicates with patients, family, and the multidisciplinary team to support safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
• Ensures safe handoff between shifts.
• Monitors equipment reliability and safety, reports issues, and orders/stocks supplies.
• Cleans rooms and equipment and transports patients as needed.
• Participates in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction, patient care, and workflow.
