CT Technologist I - Oklahoma City, OK

Position Overview

  • Entry-level role working under immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor.
  • Focus on achieving initial competencies to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services.
  • Patient populations include adult and pediatric.
  • Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care in various settings such as acute inpatient, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote clinics.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures within scope of practice.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet department protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research to maintain competencies and improve care.

Contract Length

  • Approximately 13 weeks (89 days converted to weeks).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and reliably report to work as scheduled.
  • Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
  • Accuracy in record-keeping and handling of names, numbers, and codes.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
  • Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative communication with staff, patients, and families.
  • High initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
  • Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology related to cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies.
  • Ability to apply core-level specialty theory and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data with general supervision.
