Angiographer Position - Ogden, Utah

Job Summary

• Ensure proper patient identification and order verification.
• Prepare patients for exams using appropriate body mechanics.
• Identify proper exams based on patient needs and utilize correct exam techniques.
• Produce quality images through correct operation of imaging equipment.
• Follow patient identification protocols.
• Complete all required documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage.
• Maintain work area and stock necessary supplies.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, including their indications, applications, and proper use.
• At procedure end, may apply closure devices, suture sheaths, or remove sheaths and apply pressure for hemostasis.
• Understand and apply principles of x-ray generation and safety.
• Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort.
• Assist procedurally as circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech according to lab policies and scope of practice.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of vascular or interventional experience.

Preferred Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret information, labels, and assess patient needs.
• Frequent verbal communication with patients, care providers, and visitors, especially during emergencies.
• Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment precisely.
• Frequent computer use for documentation and information access.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and transfer patients and equipment, including heavy items.
• Ability to walk and assist with patient transport and equipment handling in busy, crowded environments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Radiation Safety

• Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required.
• Providers are encouraged to use an existing badge if available to maintain continuous exposure records.
• New badges will not reflect prior exposure history.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (90 days).
