Travel Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Waupaca, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: ICU (Stepdown ICU)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend; holiday rotation including Memorial Day
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Float Requirements: May float within the facility and to other facilities within a 60-mile radius (minimal)
• On Call/Call Back: None
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5, can increase to 1:7 on busy days
• Unit Info:

  • Stepdown/med-surg unit with higher acuity than typical ICU due to rural setting
  • 20-bed unit with average daily census of 12-18
• Charting System: EPIC (within the last year)
• Scrub Color: Black

Required Qualifications

• License: Wisconsin RN License
• Certifications: AHA BLS & NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU or stepdown nursing experience (Stepdown experience strongly preferred)
• Skills:

  • Comfortable managing patients on drips
  • Critical access experience strongly preferred
• Other:

  • Hard worker, resilient, adaptable to change
  • Social and team-oriented

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required
• No travelers from facilities or home locations within 50 miles of ThedaCare Corporate Center in Neenah, WI
• Orientation includes 8 hours unbillable; GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week
• Holiday unit closures may affect guaranteed hours
