Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Ironwood, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday

Job Description

• Work in a 10-bed Emergency Department with an annual volume of approximately 11,500 patients.
• Typical staffing includes 2 RNs covering the ED with an additional 2-4 hours of overlap.
• Trauma Level IV facility.
• Float to ICU preferred but not required.
• May be placed on call during low census periods; call back minimum is 2 hours.
• Call back hours are compensated separately.
• Scrubs of any color are allowed.

Required Qualifications

• Michigan RN License.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS.
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Unit-specific skills: ECI triage training and splinting.

Additional Information

• Orientation week does not include GSA.
• Contract includes eligibility for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
• On-call hours during low census count toward these unbillable hours.
