Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU)

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Float Requirements: Float to all inpatient units as needed, primarily critical care and acute care cluster
On Call/Call Back: Picking up call is permitted but not required; 1-hour response time if called
Weekend/Holiday: Work every 2-3 weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and every other holiday
Unit Info: 12-bed CICU caring for post-op heart patients, AMI, cardiogenic shock, induced hypothermia, and basic CICU cases
Patient Ratios: 2:1 for CRRT patients, 1:1 for Impella patients
Primary Procedures: Post-op heart care, AMI, cardiogenic shock, frequent cardioversions, line placements and removals

Required Qualifications

License: Wisconsin RN License
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred but not required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience
Skills: Experience with Swan-Ganz catheters, IABPs, and post-op heart patients required
Charting: EPIC charting experience preferred

Additional Information

Must be resilient, able to manage change well, work independently, and complete tasks timely
Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed)
Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; may be put on call during these hours with call back pay if called in
Guaranteed hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed
