Registered Nurse — Neuro ICU

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Neuro ICU (2 years of experience)
• Neuro ICU experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Strong assessment skills in Neuro
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring
• Experience with bolt and drain bedside placements
• Med Surg experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

• 1 travel assignment preferred

Clinical Experience

• Neuro ICU background
• Experience with stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring
• Experience with neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures
• Experience with line placement and intubation
• Experience with bolt and drain bedside placements with neurosurgery
• Experience caring for neuro interventional patients

Work Setting

• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units
• May also float to other critical care units and other inpatient units as needed
• 8-bed neuro unit

Additional Notes

• EPIC charting required
• No on-call requirement
• Low census may occur in 4-hour increments
• Scrub color: any color
• Flu and COVID vaccination policy compliance is mandatory if vaccination is declined
