Overview

• Travel RN role on the Psychiatric floor
• 1 opening
• Days, 3x12 schedule; 0700 - 1930
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Every third weekend
• Call as required by facility
• Float within Behavioral Health as required by facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Psychiatric experience within the last year
• 1 year of psychiatric experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption is required for travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted

Unit Details

• 10 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 8 to 1
• Patient population: Behavioral Health adults and geriatric patients with medical comorbidities
• Equipment includes sit to stand, Hoyer lift, restraints, IV, and Foleys

Work Environment

• Uses EPIC
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, bending and stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood and body fluids
• May require push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 15 lbs; and kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally
