Registered Nurse (ICU) – Per Diem

Location: Webster, Texas
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)

Job Summary

Provide critical care nursing for patients with severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
• Assisting physicians with procedures
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment (including adjusting ventilator/IABP)
• Administering IV fluids and medications
• Suctioning
• Collaborating with the critical care team
• Responding to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
• Acting as a patient advocate and providing education/support to families
• Caring for pre- and post-operative patients
• Floating to lower acuity units as needed based on census

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 5 years of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
