Position Details

Unit Information

• Unit: Intensive Care Unit
• Number of Beds: 22
• Staffing:

  • Total Staff: 60
  • Day Shift: 1 charge RN, RNs based on census (1:2 ratio, sometimes 1:1), PCT as needed
  • Night Shift: 1 charge RN, RNs based on census (1:2 ratio, sometimes 1:1), PCT as needed
• Patient Ratios: 1:2, sometimes 1:1
• Equipment:

  • IABP, Impella, Ventilator, Arterial Line, Swan-Ganz catheters, SLED/TABLO machines, Belmont rapid infuser, traction, EVD, nitric oxide, Hemisphere
• EMR: Meditech
• Permanent Positions Available: No

Required Qualifications

• Must Have:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Preferred:

  • Trauma credentials (TNCC, CATN, TCAR)
  • Post-op cardiac surgery experience

• Rapid sequence intubation
• CABG and valve replacements
• Thrombectomies
• EVD insertions
• SLED/TABLO
• MTP (Massive Transfusion Protocol)
• Cardioversion
• IABP/Impella
• TNK administration
• Vasopressors
• IV sedation
