Job Opportunity: Social Worker - PEDS Social Work/Discharge Planning

Location: Jackson, Mississippi

Job Description

  • Provide social work case management with a focus on pediatric acute care management.
  • Responsibilities include crisis intervention, grief and bereavement support, and discharge planning.
  • Work schedule: 5/2 split (e.g., every Monday and Tuesday plus every other weekend).
  • Shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Social Worker license in Mississippi (LMSW or LCSW).
  • Minimum 2 years of social work experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience in case management.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
  • Experience in an acute care setting.
  • Experience with Epic charting system.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks.

Additional Notes

  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred.
  • This position is posted under both Case Management and Social Work but represents a single opening.
