Job Opportunity: Nurse Manager
Location: Bakersfield, California
Specialty: NSM Medsurg/Tele Float Pool
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Role Summary
This Nurse Manager position combines charge nurse, clinical mentor, and managerial responsibilities. The clinician provides on-shift leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care while supporting staff and fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities include rounding on patients, addressing service or safety concerns, and serving as a resource for clinical and interpersonal issues. The clinician will also take charge nurse assignments as needed, depending on census and staffing levels.
Shift: Nights, every other weekend (EOW), first to float
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Med Surg / Telemetry (3 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Experience in Charge roles
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Information
- This is a Nurse Shift Manager position
- Prior travel experience is required (not suitable for first-time travelers)
