Registered Nurse (MedSurg)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care for MedSurg patients, including oncology med/surg overflow and post-OR recovery patients.
Float as needed within scope of practice.
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients.
Work includes 12-hour night shifts.
Use of respiratory therapy equipment such as nasal cannula.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience required.
BLS Certification required.
Must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
Driver’s license required at time of application to verify distance compliance (within 50 miles).
Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply will result in contract termination.

Additional Information

Candidates may not currently be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with certain large healthcare systems within a 50-mile radius.
First-time travel nurses are welcome; prior travel experience is not required.
