Overview

  • Location: Centennial, Colorado
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Days, 12 hours
  • Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN role
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience

Work Setting

  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Float pool covering multiple units, including medical-surgical telemetry and related specialty areas
  • May be assigned to higher-acuity areas as needed, including ICU, PCU/stepdown, and MS-tele
  • Heparin drip titration required
  • Nurse aides are available
  • Respiratory therapy equipment is available

Schedule and Float Expectations

  • Schedule is set by leadership about 6 weeks at a time
  • Travelers must be flexible to fill scheduling gaps
  • May be assigned through a just-in-time process shortly before shift start
  • Expected to float throughout a 60-mile zone
  • No home base facility
  • Weekend coverage is required, with 6–9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
  • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
  • Call or standby is rare and only for low census

Additional Notes

  • Must be in state for orientation week
  • Time off requests must be submitted before the assignment starts
  • Cannot miss more than 3 shifts during the 13-week contract
  • A 2-week notice is required to avoid a back-out penalty fee
